Patent research specialist Steve Pearson will represent the Pearson Strategy Group at the 2017 Central Texas Manufacturing Tradeshow & Procurement Conference on Sept. 28 at the Palmer Events Center in Austin. He will be joined by patent attorney Andrew Eisenberg, a partner with Michael Best & Friedrich LLP.

“Andrew and I are looking forward to meeting local manufacturing professionals and sharing more about our patent services and synergy. If you will be at the conference, please stop by Vendor Booth 606 to say hello or ask questions,” Pearson said. “We’ll be giving away a fun prize, so bring your business card, too!”

Eisenberg expects there will be interest in how patent research complements his legal work and how he and Steve work together for a client.

“I always recommend you have a third party conduct your due diligence. An attorney’s research capabilities are often limited,” he said. “Bringing in outside research and feedback is also valuable for product development and marketing. Plus, this step can speed up the patent filing process by revealing documents an Examiner might use and letting us review them ahead of time.”

The full-day conference includes panels and presentations focusing on sectors including semiconductors, life sciences, medical devices, mid-size electronics OEMs and the federal government. Executives and supply chain managers are expected to attend.

More than 75 vendors will showcase products, capabilities, and services. The conference is presented by the Austin Regional Manufacturers Association (ARMA) and sponsored by the Business Bank of Texas. Tickets start at $25.

Companies and topics on the Procurement Agenda include:

• Samsung and Applied Materials discussing what they are looking for in suppliers and how to get qualified.
• Accessing opportunities within the Federal Government.
• Luminex, and ICU Medical (formerly Hospira and Pfizer) providing suggestions on supplying FDA regulated facilities.

To schedule a specific time to talk while you’re at the conference, please contact Steve Pearson here.
