Throughout this year of change and uncertainty, PSG has remained productive and fully engaged for our clients around the world. We’re happy to report that on July 7 we celebrated 9 uninterrupted years of helping our clients move their companies and ideas forward.
The pandemic and related responses have been difficult for us all, but it has also opened our eyes to new opportunities.
In fact, PSG has gained many new clients in the past few months, most with COVID-related ideas. These ideas fall into 3 main areas: UVC control of pathogens, breathing assistance and breathing air filtration. We’re proud to help bring these global health ideas closer to reality.

Before COVID shutdowns, Steve spoke about Competitive Intelligence to the Central Texas Electronics Association. He pointed out the advantages of researching publicly available (but sometimes hard to find and understand) information about your competitors. CI can include: market news; worldwide patents and apps; research and conference publications; import/export data; licensing deals; governmental regulations; FCC filings; trademark filings and social media.
Nowhere is the value of keeping up with your external environment more obvious than with the recent COVID crisis. Those companies already informed about industry movements and the encroachment of problems before they hit were often the ones capable of pivoting and avoiding their Black Swan event.
Visionex Holdings Patent News
I’m excited to announce that a second Texas State Senior Design Class will be continuing development on my Visionex patents for HVAC condensate drain clearing! Go team Adan, Elizabeth, and Cameron!
This team worked during the Spring semester and will continue in the Fall, despite disruptions caused by the university’s required move to online learning. We’re still not sure what next semester will look like.

Like many others, the pandemic has brought our family closer together, with both my college student and high schooler under our roof for much more time than anyone expected. The two teenagers have been flexing their culinary muscles, widening our waistlines and delighting the canine cheering crew. Pancakes are one of my favorite lockdown meals.
